They say “content is king”. Is it true?

If you’re fairly experienced with websites, search engines and traffic in general, you might have heard this before. If you’re really into internet marketing, you’ve heard this time and again.

And I will wholly and totally confirm it: Content IS king.

Stop using gimmicks and META tags and sneaky tricks that “guarantee” traffic explosions and nuclear hazards. Stop stealing other people’s content, either through XML, RSS, or whatever XHDHTML you might think of. Duplicate and junk content is OUT. Quality, timely, visitor-oriented content is IN. Big time! Read on to find out more.

ANOTHER FACT: Searchengines love content, and so do people.

The internet is all about content. You already knew that, right?

ANOTHER FACT: Quality matters You already knew that as well. But I just feel many people still need a confirmation. Through the
quality of the content you provide you gain credibility, respect, popularity AND high conversion rates and sales.

What are the conclusions of this article?

1. Start creating content. Right now. You invest a little time and effort, but it pays.
2. Stop dreaming of that magic trick that will bring you free content and 1687.48987.8947987 visitors in 24 hours without you lifting a finger.
3. Concentrate on quality AND on quantity – this is the right order.

Take your time to deliver quality and enjoy the results.

What’s nice about the end of this article is that I am not trying to persuade you into buying anything.
I’ll just let you know that I run a website where I share all my knowledge on internet marketing with you people for free.

Developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan is an essential part of your success. However, unless you’re testing and tracking your strategies, you may be losing a great deal of time and money.

You can dramatically increase your sales simply by taking the time to test and track your results. Not only will it help you to determine what’s working and what’s not, but it will also enable you to focus your efforts on the strategies that produce results.

When testing your marketing strategies, keep in mind, a strategy that produces results for one person may not produce results for you. There is no ’set in stone’ strategy that works for everyone. You must develop your own style and technique and test your results to determine what works for you. Below are some ad tracking resources to assist you in your testing and tracking endeavors.

Ad Tracking CGI Scripts

LnkinLite
This free script will enable you to easily keep track of the number of clicks a specific link receives. Instead of using your standard link within your advertising, you can use a link created by this script. It will track the number of clickthroughs and instantly redirect your visitors to your URL.

Willmaster’s ProLinkz

Cost – $45.00

AdTrackZ
http://www.adtrackz.com/

This script will enable you to set up an entire ad tracking campaign including statistical reports for referring URLs, what browsers your visitors have installed, what operating systems your visitors are using and much more.

Cost – $47.00

Ad Tracking Services

LinkCounter
http://www.linkcounter.com

A free service that tracks the clickthrough rates of your links. In addition to tracking your links, LinkCounter hides the URL of the link destination. This will prevent users from removing or changing your affiliate ID when visiting an affiliate site through your link.

HyperTracker
http://www.hypertracker.com

The PRO version of HyperTracker contains a number of advanced features including: unlimited advertising campaigns, tracking of sales and actions, special scripts that let you promote your own website address in your campaigns and much more.

Cost – Starting at $10.95 mo. They also offer a free version.

Adminder
http://www.adminder.com

An online tracking system that will enable you to track an entire advertising campaign. It will enable you to see how many visitors were generated by each of your ads, keep track of sales that were generated by each ad and calculates the cost-per-click, cost-per-sale, and click-to-sale ratios for each ad.

Cost – $19.95 mo. (for a limited time)

Statcruncher
http://www.Statcruncher.com

Statcruncher tracks and reports exactly which ads, banners and links are producing results. They provide you with access to their powerful web-tracking system that will enable you to track your ad campaigns 24 hours a day in real time.

Cost – $49.00 yr.

If you’d rather not use any of the products and services listed above, you can use some alternative methods. Below are some example tracking methods you can use to track your response rates:

URL

You can track your ads simply by adding some special coding to your URL. To code your URL, add a question mark followed by a special tracking code to the end of your web address. Your coded link will still open your web page. Your code should look something like this:

http://www.yourdomain.com/?ad1

The text after the question mark should identify a specific ad. You can code it however you’d like.

To view your results, you’ll need to look at your log files. Your code will be displayed within your log files beside your URL.

Email

You can track your email responses to specific ads by using the email subject. Select a specific word to be placed within the email subject for each ad. Although you can request that a certain word be placed within the email subject, many times it won’t be supplied. To avoid this problem, you can create a special email link that will automatically fill in the subject when clicked on. Your link should look something like this:

mailto:you@yourdomain.com?subject=ad1

Testing and tracking your strategies is an essential part of doing business. By concentrating your efforts on strategies that produce results, you can not only increase your sales, but you’ll also save yourself a great deal of time and money.

On Page SEO in five easy steps

On page Seo is on of the most important parts of seo. Here I am going to list the different things you have to do to have
your site well optimized, remember that you first have to pick the keyword you want to rank for, then read this guide:

1. – Putting Keywords in Titles: A really important thing is to put keywords in titles, how is that? simple, add between
the < title > and < /title > tags the keyword you want to rank for. For example this article’s title would be On page SEO.

2. – Putting keywords in url: Another thing to do is adding your keywords in your url, For example, here we want to rank
for On page seo, so our URL should be on-page-seo.html, we used dashes cause searche engines read dashes (-) as spaces.

3. – Putting keywords in Tags: You also should add between the
and
tags the following code:
< meta name="keywords" content="your, keywords"> < meta name="description" content="Your site description including
your keywords"> Obviously replacing it with your own content.

4. – Putting image descriptions on alt tags: Remember to put descriptions on your images using the alt tag.

5. – Use Heading Tags: Use heading tags in your main keywords, H1 for your main keywords, H2 for your secondary keywords
and h3,h4,h5,h6 for the others.

Well, that are the main things to do, if you do all that you should have a site ranking well. For more seo articles visit my site:

Now-a-days installing blogging softwares are just few minutes of click and run jobs. In few minutes you can install a nice

Search Engine Optimization of Your Blog

Now-a-days installing blogging softwares are just few minutes of click and run jobs. In few minutes you can install a nice
looking blog ready to be published. Until this stage, everything seems simple, but when it comes to promoting something
as complex as blogging softwares or CMS (Content Management System) applications for that mater, on which blogging
softwares are based, can be quite tricky and painful. It is as much painfully easy to install blog software, as it is painfully
hard to promote it on search engines if you do not know the correct direction to make headway.

Even though Wordpress comes with features which will help you to make your blog search engine optimized, but these are
too basic features to be relied on and you will still need to make changes yourself to better it.

Mata Tags

Meta tags which are important for search engine optimizing your blog, doesn’t come bundled with your Wordpress, when you
install it. You will need to install a plugins to have your meta tags displayed on your blog head. Meta tags can be added in the
header.php file of your blog. A list of popular Mata tags plugins can be found at http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Meta .

Permalink Tag

Every blog has a Permalink feature; it is the permanent link (URL) to a post or page on your blog. Having keyword rich URLs
will surely help your blog being pulled for important keywords. You can customize your permalink structure to have more
keywords instead of default /category/year/date/time/hour/minute/second/post_title as your post URL. For instance, you can
remove %seconds%, %hour% or %post_id% in your parmalink tag. These are not necessary and having them as your URIs will
only make it look longer. Also you can do away with %date% tag altogether to just have %category% in the URIs.

Category names

Be careful while making categories. You can always have the category names as keywords so that your final URIs will be
full of keywords.

Tagging

You can have tags especially Technorati Tag plugin installed for your blog posts. Tags are basically names of categories or
subjects. With tags in your post, you can categorize your posts based on these tags. While tagging will increases traffic to
your blog, it will also make it search engine friendly.

Making above changes to your blog will definitely make it look more search engine optimized and will help you increase its
online visibility in Search engine result pages (SERPs).

Happy SEO Blogging!!

When you begin the task of acquiring quality and relevant backlinks to your website there are many factors that can increase
or decrease your search engine rankings. This article outlines the difference between good and bad backlinks. A quality backlink
pointing to your site should be in the same category and relevant in content to your website. The page where your link is located
should be indexed by Google and the page should also have a Google page rank. The webpage where your link is located should
also contain no more than 30 other out-going links to other websites. Link pages with more than 30 out-going links are less
relevant to the search engines. Having your link posted on this type of webpage can affect your search engine rankings in a
negative way. Other excellent techniques of acquiring backlinks are directory submissions, posting articles, blogs and forums.
For directory submissions select the proper directory category and take a look at how many other websites are contained in the
category where your link would be posted, if you can manage to get on the first or second page of the listings, this is a quality
backlink. Also look at the Google page rank of the landing page for your link. If the page has a Google page rank this is also a
quality backlink. Stay within your category, relevant content is very important to the search engines. Write an article preferably
relevant in content to your website and submit the article to high quality article directories. Blogs are an excellent way to get
quality one-way backlinks, Blog sites also receive tons of traffic, which in turn give your site more exposure. Posting your link
on forum pages is also an efficient method of aquiring backlinks instantly. Backlinks to avoid would be a 0 page ranked webpage,
especially if the home page has a zero page rank. Links posted within framed webpages which will also steal your traffic.
Especially avoid link farms, webpages which contain more than 100 unrelated outgoing links, This type of link page is frowned
upon by many major search engines. Avoid Webpages with mirror sites containing the exact same content with a different URL,
also pages that utilize redirects and URL cloaking. Never post your link on a webpage that contains a “no follow” or “no index”
robots meta tag within the source code. Dynamic websites with question marks in the URL should be avoided because they
are not always indexed by the search engines. Also avoid posting your link on a page that opens very slow or contains mostly
ads and flash banners. Try not to aquire or purchase great numbers of backlinks in a short period of time, backlinks should be
accumulated gradually. Also avoid webpages and directories that list their results in alphabetical order, as their database
increases your link could be moved to a less relevant page with less pagerank. Quality backlinks are one of the most important
factors involved in the process of acheiving high search engine ranking.

MSN Ad center – when it will be working as it’s supposed?

Online Advertising is essential for most of the people who do business online and looking for
new opportunities for advertising some of you like me have probably opened an account
at MSN Ad center, well I don’t know about you but I’m already quite disappointed.
For those who hasn’t made this step yet, I’ll tell ‘hold up’ if you don’t want to cause
yourself anxiety and headache.

Here you are some well-founded reasons:

If you need an assistance regarding your campaigns or account you’ll wait quite long for
reply from their support, something which isn’t so huge problem because the support of other
similar companies isn’t also so fast, the biggest problem is that after receiving the long
expected reply you’ll find out that it probably has been quoted from their FAQ section -
something you definitely can read and wouldn’t open a ticket about.
As your question has been lost while you were sending it, no sign of answer or comprehension
what you were asking about, if you have more time you can continue asking and receiving
nonsenses answers as you just start advertising and you’ve signed up for lessons from
Level “I” support.

If you still have some patience left, get ready for the next surprise.
You’re running your campaigns and receiving clicks – you’d say everything’s fine – what then?
then this – try to pause or stop a campaign – no luck.
It’s just impossible – a pop up window will just let you know that you can’t do that, if you
finally somehow manage to outwit it and see your campaigns paused DO NOT believe it at all,
you’ll continue to receive clicks – guess why?, because your campaigns are still running.
Of course your cost per clicks also increases although these are already unwanted clicks,
they are not free of charge and you just can do nothing but to see how the amount you
spend on advertising goes up. For this issue you’ll get a reply that it’s a well-known problem
but this well known problem is existing and who knows when it will be fixed.
Maybe after thousand software experiments at advertisers’ expense, advertisers who are
unable to manage their campaigns and who pay out of their pockets for additional clicks they
wouldn’t like to get but they do because MSN have foreknown about these well-known
problems but launched their ADvertising center obviously thinking they can learn “in motion”.

Another good example that earning money is more important than everything else including
client’s satisfaction and the quality of the service.

I’d say – Thanks, but no thanks!
Wouldn’t like to play on an experimental field.

If you maintain a website online seek to market it, you may have been told or even offered reciprocal links. Most
advertisements promise that such a venture can get more people to go to your site, raise your search engine rankings,
and add to consumer and surfer interest in your product, service, or craft.

What are reciprocal links?

Reciprocal linking, as the name implies, is just exchanging links with a website selling products or services similar to yours.
They will promise to post your link on their site if you promise to post their link on yours. Visitors to your site will most
likely visit theirs, and visitors to their site will most likely visit yours.

Just how effective are reciprocal links? Are they all hype? Are you, as the careful web designer and developer, being told
everything about them?

The aim of most reciprocal link exchangers is to increase their site’s search engine rankings. However, according to a study,
finding sites on search engines contributes only about 15% to a website’s traffic. Reciprocal linking, then, will not get you
traffic through search engine ranking.

So what purpose does reciprocal linking serve? It can get you traffic, but only and mostly if people click on your site’s link
from someone else’s site.

How can you substantially increase your traffic through reciprocal linking? If your link appears in as many other sites as
possible. This will mean that you have to list a great number of links yourself – but if you have a lot of useful links on your
links page, you can actually help your site visitors, and make your website credible.

If you have a useful website with lots of links, and with other people linking back to you, you can get more people to visit
your site, and keep up a good stream of Internet traffic. You can be famous in no time, right?

Reciprocal linking can help boost your Internet popularity, true, but only if done correctly. With more webmasters concerned
with popularity rather than content, however, reciprocal linking with as many people as possible may actually be more to your
detriment than benefit.

Why is this so?

1. Some sites do not have consistently good content

Sure, you link to many websites, and have them link back to you, but just how good are these websites?

If the website that links to you does not get updated, or does not have good content, chances are, they won’t be getting
any visitors, and you won’t be getting any from them. And if your website links to them, and your visitors go to their site,
do you think they’ll love you for linking them to a useless site? Even your site will lose visitors if your link partners don’t have
good content.

Think: quality over quantity when choosing link partners. But with the Internet changing every day, how sure
are you that your link partners can be with you for the long term?

2. Some sites don’t display links properly.

Sadly, some sites will not even display your link at all, despite their promise. And even if they do, your link will not be prominent
enough for visitors to see it and visit your site.

So how can you check if your affiliates are displaying your link? All you have to do is visit their website at least once every
month – a tall order if you’re thinking of reciprocal linking with at least a hundred sites to get word out on you.

3. Some sites look for link partners, not visitors

Some sites are designed in such a way that they become famous because they have many link partners – but not enough
content to help visitors out. Sometimes, what results are link partners visiting each other’s sites and closing their club around
their circle of websites.

What happens to your site, then? It gets a lot of visits – from your link partners, who already know about you.

4. Some sites do not have well organized links pages

In an effort to boost popularity, some webmasters can be reckless and simply list all their affiliate sites on their links page.
Their random collection can give visitors a headache.

If sites, including yours, have categorized links, they will attract more traffic and increase the site’s popularity naturally.
Again, sadly, this is not true for most sites on the Internet, and reciprocal linking with them will befuddle more than benefit
visitors.

So how can you avoid these pitfalls? Visit your link partners regularly, and choose a few good ones firsthand.

Most importantly, rely on other methods to get word out on your website. Besides, you’ll never know who you’re linking with.

Reciprocal links work like this. You will put your link on someone else’s website and they will be able to list their website
on yours. It is a trade off. But, there has been a lot of controversy about these links. Do they work to help improve your
page rank in search engines? Do they hurt your page rank? Should you bother investing in them? To answer these questions,
take a moment to consider both sides of the coin. The bottom line, to most webmasters, is that they are capable of working
for you.

Why They May Not Be Good

When reciprocal links first began to be used, it was a trade off between one webmaster and another. If you were in the
home decorating business, for example, it would be beneficial to work with and have a link to a company that provides
windows. You both would benefit. When the webmasters did this, they found that their websites did in fact rank better.
In fact, it worked so well that they went out and sought more and more of them.

There in lies the problem. Instead of working with other website owners to develop a relationship and create a reciprocal
link that benefited both parties, many website developers found that they could buy these links instead. Now, they did not
have to go to the trouble of luring in those that they would like to have links from but they could just buy them. Okay, this
is not so bad right? The problem was that people were buying and using thousands of reciprocal links on their website.
This is completely unnatural and it just didn’t work well for them.

But, Why?

The search engines soon became wise to this scheme of getting your website to rank well. They developed programs that
would spot this problem and in fact people that used this large amount of reciprocal links, in this fashion, were ranked WORSE!
They would spend top dollar to get these links from companies that were all too willing to sell them and would end up well
back into the search pages.

So, Now What?

Keeping these things in mind, you need to consider wisely if you should in fact use reciprocal links for the websites that
you put up. In most cases, if you take the time to work at getting reciprocal links from qualified webmasters instead of
buying large amounts of them, you are more capable of securing a sound method for increasing your page rank. If you
decide to purchase hundreds of them and slap them on your website quickly, you will face a worst case scenario of
lowering your page rank.

Keep in mind as well that one of the best ways to increase traffic to your web page with links is to use one way links.
You can get these by using article directory sites. There may not be a sure fire way to take a brand new site and get it as
number one in the search engines, you can gain some movement upwards if you use links properly.
